The covers indicate that NBA 2K16 is a Spike Lee Joint

NBA 2K16 has given gamers worldwide many reasons to anticipate improved gameplay and HD graphics that is fundamental to the games success. With NBA 2K16, it is highly possible that developers 2K are already in wait and watch mode. There have been multiple reviews spread over forums screaming for improvements in simulation and technicalities. Perhaps it is now time for 2K to sit up and take note of incorporating all that has been left out in the latest version.

While NFL 2K was put aside due to licensing deals, NBA 2K has been left with basically no competition. With the top basketball spot securely in place, the series has devolved into a microtransaction and story-driven mess. Instead of focusing on its online servers and actual game play issues that plague the title year after year, 2K confirmed today that the concerns of the faithful will continue to be ignored. Sometimes video games transcend gaming in general. They become about the culture that surrounds the game just as much as the game itself. NBA 2K joined this elite club of video game titles a long time ago and NBA 2K16 isn’t any different.

It was rapper turned executive producer Jay Z that had the idea to include classic teams in NBA 2K16 coins online. Recording artist Pharrell produced NBA 2K16’s soundtrack. NBA 2K16 will feature movie writer and director Spike Lee, who is himself a huge basketball fan, according to leaked photos of the NBA 2K16 release cover. The covers indicate that NBA 2K16 is a “Spike Lee Joint,” a nod to his work in film.

What is the point of playing a realistic video game when you know that you’re going to have to pay to win a game. 2k sports should realize that the feature of mini payments for benefits is detrimental to the spirit of the game. Although one understands that such transactions earn monetary income for 2k sports still focus on the main elements of sport should be concentrated upon and that is performance. But I can tell you why Strauss Zelnick could look anyone in the eye, say NBA 2K is a bigger franchise than Madden - whose contract with the NFL is believed to be second only to the deals that league signs with its broadcast partners - and not move a needle on a polygraph. It's because of 2K Sports' defunct MLB 2K series, a ball and chain Take-Two dragged into 2013 under impressively stupid terms negotiated by a reckless corporate leadership that Zelnick himself ousted in 2007.

Chief among them is the newly upgraded My Player mode. Sports games have been flirting with this idea of creating a total, all-encompassing experience of following a player's career from draft day to retirement, with all the endorsements, controversies, and championships such a thing would (hopefully) entail. Among them, the NHL series has perhaps gotten closest to actually achieving this idea--at least until now. Without question, cheap NBA 2K16 coins My Player mode creates the most engrossing version of a unique player identity anyone has attempted thus far. While character customization options are maybe a tad limited, the sheer breadth of events and actions around that character are anything but.

As great as MyGM and other modes are, MyCareer is the cherry on top. The face scanning feature is awesome (but a hassle to set up). Once you finally create your player though, you won't be able to play anything else. The story behind MyCareer is engaging and believable thanks to this year's improved voice acting and writing. You will spend hours upgrading your player's abilities as well as fine-tuning your play style to help your team win.

The MyPark aspect of MyCareer has been crippled so far due to server issues. But it shows lots of promise and should become a standout feature once they get everything up and running smoothly. All in all, if you are a NBA fan or a lover of sports games, NBA 2K16 is a worthy buy. This is the best 2K since NBA 2K11 thanks to its varied and deep game modes. NBA Live 15 has a lot of work to do if it wants to compete with 2K Sports' offering.
